I never had much interest in sea life. That is outside of the encounters I had in the Ocean and that natural trepidation that comes with being in a large, seemingly bottomless body of water that could contain anything your imagination may conjure. I generally didn't give it much more thought. That is until I had the opportunity to photograph some corals. It was a lot more difficult that it appears on the outset but I did learn some extremely valuable things about working with and around saltwater for example with camera gear.
